How do I find and read an eBook or an eAudiobook?

Answer

To borrow and read or listen to an eBook or eAudiobook, we recommend you go directly to our eBook platform, Overdrive, at dclibrary.overdrive.com.

Use the menu at the top of the page to find specific formats (eBooks or Audiobooks) under "collections", genres under "subjects", and more.

If you plan to read and/or listen to eBooks and audiobooks on a phone or tablet, we recommend Overdrive's Libby app, which you can download for free from your app store and log into with your library card number.

For children we recommend:

  • OverDrive for Kids - eBooks and audiobooks just for kids. Overdrive videos include animated picture books.
  • Tumblebooks - Offers animated, talking picture books, which a parent can read to the child, or the book can be “read” to the child online.
  • BookFlix - Pairs high-quality children's video storybooks with factual ebooks for pre-schoolers, kindergartners and beginning readers. Related games and puzzles reinforce early reading skills and build curiosity about the world. Algunos títulos en español.
