How do I find downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, or videos?
Answer
To borrow and read or listen to an eBook or eAudiobook, we recommend you go directly to our eBook platform, Overdrive, at dclibrary.overdrive.com.
Use the menu at the top of the page to find specific formats (eBooks or Audiobooks) under "collections", genres under "subjects", and more.
If you plan to read and/or listen to eBooks and audiobooks on a phone or tablet, we recommend Overdrive's Libby app, which you can download for free from your app store and log into with your library card number.
You can check out Kindle eBooks through OverDrive or Libby, OverDrive's app for smartphones and tablets. (We recommend starting from OverDrive or Libby, instead of from the library's main catalog page, as it's easier to download titles from there.)
After you have logged in with your library card number you can search for a title to check out. During checkout you will have the ability to select the Kindle format for download. Once you click "Read now with Kindle" you will be sent to Amazon to choose which device to send the title. Please note that not all eBook titles are available in the Kindle format. However, ePubs are on some of the Amazon devices (like Kindle Fire).

- Tumblebooks - Offers animated, talking picture books, which a parent can read to the child, or the book can be “read” to the child online.
- BookFlix - Pairs high-quality children's video storybooks with factual ebooks for pre-schoolers, kindergartners and beginning readers. Related games and puzzles reinforce early reading skills and build curiosity about the world. Algunos títulos en español.
